Pilot and matching

Your look and “Prefer not to say”

How appearance details help Pilot interpret casting requirements.

What to do

  1. Open Settings, Profile and review your appearance and ethnicity choices.
  2. Choose the options that accurately describe how you read for roles. You can select more than one.
  3. Choose Prefer not to say if you do not want to provide that detail.
  4. Review match reasons if a role asks for a specific appearance.

Good to know

Pilot uses these details when a breakdown specifies a look or ethnic appearance. A clear mismatch between known requirements and your choices can block a role. An ambiguous appearance choice is not a match for every specific requirement.

Prefer not to say gives Pilot less information to compare. You may receive fewer matches or lower scores for specific requirements. You can change your choice later.
